Ik was aan het koken en ging op mijn computer om een Duolingo les te doen.
Toen rook ik aan mijn vingers, om vast te stellen of ze niet te heet waren van het snijden van de rode peper.
Ze roken naar citroen.
Ik nadenken over welk ingrediënt dat was, dat naar citroen rook.
Toen bedacht ik me: dat is mijn baardolie!
Ik heb de verleiding weerstaan de baardolie door het eten te doen.

In which I talk, like a real Patrick Bateman, about a favorite 80s synth track, today: A-ha - Stay on These Roads So that one hunky guy totally makes the wrong moves on the keyboard. He hammers chords, where we hear a baseline: single notes. I wonder whether it's smart dig at A-ha's criticasters that say they're no more than a hunky boyband. Because they're not. Or they totally are, just not *merely* that. A-ha took a huge risk moving from Norway to the UK to pursue their music career (I read that one time but I can't seem to verify it now on wiki). They founded themselves and weren't formed by a producer looking to make money. They wrote their own music. That's the history. But you can just hear it in this in this track. It sounds fully grown-up. I actually don't know what the lyrics are about, but it's obviously not about, for instance, puppy love. Just the the title carries gravitas: "Stay on These Roads". Is Donald Trump a fascist?

So is Donald Trump a fascist? Just some musings by someone that doesn't actually know that much about that term. So it's not that fascism is smart (or dumb, for that matter, it's just a form of government), but I'm afraid Trump is too dumb to be a fascist. So if he's a fascist, he'd be an proponent of something like dumb-fascism. (Is Trump dumb? Maybe not terribly, but just willfully ignorant on too many subjects. Maybe it's more of a trait of totalitarianism in general, but fascist regimes will create internal and external enemies. Internal ones I think are most striking. Does he create does? Yes. But in more ways than you'd imagine. More obvious ones are immigrants in general, especially Muslims and Mexicans. But really it's possibly *all* minorities that are the internal enemy. It's quite amazing, really, such diligence from such a lazy guy, but hate makes even this deadbeat productive. So which minorities among others? People of color, ...
