Why is anger the last emotion we can react with on Facebook, and sadness the second to last? Anger is a real emotion, too, putting it away is harmful. As is sadness.
Without spoiling it, Black Mirror, season 4, episode 6, Black Museum makes a dark joke about it: having 5 emotions to express yourself with is more humane that two (we used to have just like something or don't), but really it's merely a step better. When you really care about something, you can, of course, also type a reaction. But that, too, is just a step better, since 80 or 90 per cent of off-keyboard interaction is non-verbal.
Social media are a great tool. But don't forget to go off keyboard once in a while ☺
